While you losers (including myself) are all working… I won’t spoil his report, but I know of at least one boat who has already satellite phoned in an update to his main girl at 10am and it sounded like they will be eating well tonight…
Cat food or the real deal?

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Here kitty,kitty.
Uh huh.someones gonna have a fancy feast tonight.
No thanks on the blackfins, they were considered trash in the 80’s-90’s,no reason to change now.
Sorry, missed that one. I thought it was YFT, BFT, and bFT. Note to Self: Spend entire beautiful weekend looking and reading old posts containing the word(s) Blackfin, Tuna, Yellowfin, Bluefin to get new nomenclature.

It’s all relative. They are the only “tuna” that we have around here at this point… They are still fun to catch and challenging to some degree.
I know Skinny,it is hard for me to like them.
they do make good strip baits!
I am afraid that our friends on the other side of the ocean are gonna wipe the yellow fins out, that netting $hiit has got to stop.

You just need to try a little harder to like them. We may not see yellowfins around here for a long time, so you have to adapt! Although, eventually, the conditions will line up for them to be here again. Until that time, yellowfins remain urban legend.
PS, one of the local tuna legends is out on the water today, so hopefully we will have a grapevine report from him.
Maybe I’m weird but I LIKE Blackfin. Not quite as much as I like Yellowfin, but I like it. I have also eaten some skipjacks that were very tasty. In Florida they are “captain’s catch” at the dock.

captain lee dropped that fish the very moment that picture was taken
FYI… the tail of an 80# YFT will beat you like drum if you dont let go in time
that was the last fish of the day and we had no where to stuff his big ass bc all the boxes were full(we kept 26 that day… i know i know)
finally got the fish in a cooler that it barely fit in
i sat on top of said cooler wondering if my knuckles were really broken from the pounding i received on the deck trying to control that fish
fish goes off in the cooler and the lid hit me in the nuts so hard i was certain there would no children in my future
sold 90% of the catch to local restaurants
made enough to pay for all of the expences and put a few hundred bucks in our pocket
good times indeed…
If I recall the last good year for YFT was 1994. We caught 25 in one day. Multiple hookups. The next Saturday we caught 17. I thought it would always be like that? What did I know?
