I’ve been waiting on Garmin to restock their 943xsv units for a few weeks now. I can get a Simrad go9 unit in stock, at West Marine, in Anderson. I’m heading back to IOP in a couple of weeks, and would like to have my electronics upgraded, especially weather radar. What do you guys think?

I’ve used Garmin products for many years. User friendly and accurate Out of sight of land I like to have a hand held battery powered GPS and VHS available. I much prefer stand alone electronics. Not one screen for GPS + sounder+ radar + vhf radio + + +. and that is getting harder to find…I also prefer multiple power sources with battery isolation switches.
