Wakes from motor boats

I thought this would be an ideal place to post this question. Quite freqently when I’m out in my motor boat, I pass folks in canoes and kayaks. I’m wondering what the “polite” thing for a person in a motor boat is to do at that time. If I slow down, my wake becomes even larger, unless I slow down to a crawl. What do y’all expect? Thanks.

Slow down to a crawl 'till you pass. The extra seconds saved is not worth tossing someone in the drink.

Just my opinion…

fin, I’m all right with a boat on plane passing me as long as they give me some room. Generally when I here a boat and I’m in creek, I’ll try to stay out of the main channel. Its not fare to the boater or your self(the yaker) if both don’t use good judgement.

You are though as a boater responsible for your own wake.
