I am currently in Lexington from charleston for Christmas and was wondering about any walk to spots this time of year. I have fished the lower saluda quite a bit during may, but didn’t know how the fish were this time of year there and what artificials would be good. Feel free to pm if you don’t want to give up any secrets. Also I would be willing to pay for gas if anyone was going out on Wednesday after Christmas.
You can catch them at a number of landings this time of yr. Camp Barstow. Big mans. Blacks bridge. Just to name a few. If you are familiar with the lower saluda, the trout are being caught faster than u count. They were stocked on the 11th.

Thanks for the advice. I took the fly rod to the river this morning, but didn’t have any luck. Gonna try again in the morning at a different area.
