So yesterday I finally broke out the ol’ vise and tied me up some fresh flys, hopped in the car and found me a flat to walk. The weather cooperated, minus the occassional wind gust. Unfortiunately, I was only able to see 1 tail and he was in the tall grass. Found a couple pushing after bait. It was definitely nice just to get out and get the gills wet again.

Hurricane, get with Nikon or myself. It’s always nice to meet up with new peeps and fish (maybe even trade some info, techniques and such).

In search of some fishing buddies… been hittin it solo. Let me know
I am trying to find some spots… Seen a few on ol Google Earth, just gotta find time to go scout them out… I’ll let you and Smokeybones know and we’ll go put a beat down on some fish when I find a good one. I do know of 2 good walk to flats but they were given to me in confidence and I can honestly say I haven’t been back, even by myself because I don;t want to tromp a good thing someone was noce enough to show me. I’ll find some and we’ll have to start a Secret Club with a handshake and decoder rings… it will be called the Secret Walking Order of the Redfish Flats, or SWORF…

SWORF is a very selective and secret group… We will have to run you through a very extensive and lengthy interview process, there are tests you must pass and other trails you must endure… Very much like becoming a Jedi… Of course boat ownership does not bode well for you…
