Headed to a small block I can cut off with one stander and turned loose…didn’t jump the first thing. Pulled the dogs to the next block roughly the same size and had my man flank me. Jumped a doe and a yearling bedded together and the dogs pushed ol’ slickhead across the creek so I called the dogs off and the got back on the yearling. We tried but couldn’t make it happen. Came out the woods and the moment I put the gun against a tree I was staring at a nice 8 point in the road within range. Oh well the heat made me thankful we didn’t have to drag anything out. Still good for 2 guys, 2 dogs, and saw 3 deer in 3 hours. Going to try again in North Hampton tomorrow!!!
