Picked up some mullet in the cast net around noon. Finger size mostly with one being big enough to cut for bait. I was planning on working the creeks with the mullet on Carolina Rigs, but my troll motor wouldn’t power on. The wiring came loose, and I had no tools on the boat, so we decided we’d just anchor and try our luck. Couldn’t pick up anything for a while, but as soon as the tide turned, the bite turned on, and as soon as it started, it stopped. Managed to boat a ray, a sizeable croaker, and 2 out of slot reds. My buddy in the pictures never caught a Red before today, so I was happy to hand him the rod. Good times.
