Put the kayak in today around 1:30pm near the 41 bridge looking to ride the tide out to my spot then get a little help back home with the incoming. I saw a ton of fish today and sight casted the Red’s I caught on the lower part of low tide. They were working the water’s edge and easy to spot. Bait for the Reds were 3" Gulp Shrimp. Ended up catching 4 Red’s 26", 22", 21", and 18". I kept two. I also caught a 14" flounder on a mud minnow under a popping cork around a dock. Ended the day catching two undersize trout. Beautiful day on the water, getting closer to my favorite time of the year to fish!

Awesome day. That’s one of my favorite places to fish. Where did you launch? I fished goldbug today. Also caught 4 reds but they were on the smaller side 13-20". Fish are everywhere right now. And today was a beautiful day on the water.
Very nice! Been dying to drag the yak down, just can’t seem to find the time. Been wanting to try that area. I’d be curious where you put in around there as well if not a secret.

Ive been dying to get my kayak out to the upper wando myself. I was thinking about putting in at the paradise island ramp but Ive never been there, and its pretty far from 41 bridge. As far as i know that’s the only public ramp left up that way. If your spot isnt private or secret i would love to get out there. Grew up fishing out there.
All fishermen are liers except me and you and I’m not sure about you.
