Wando HS Fishing Team Needs Your Help!

Just wanted to put this info up for these young guys and gals. Any help from you is greatly appreciated. Any items to be donated to the team can be dropped off at either Haddrells Point locations. Used tackle will be serviced by haddrell’s and given to the Wando fishing team in order to help support them. Sounds like a great program, wish it had been around way back when I was in school!!! Below is what they are looking for, thanks for taking the time to read and thanks for any support!

The Wando High School Fishing Team in Association with Teen Anglers is
devoted to educating today’s youth about conservation and fishing. We hold
monthly tournaments, participate in conservation events, and fish regularly.
We are trying to outfit our team so that there is enough gear for all of our
students to fish. The Wando High School Fishing Team needs financial
donations and new and used fishing gear. This could be rods, reels, tackle,
maps and guide services. Donate to our Teen Anglers and help support the
conservationists of tomorrow.

With all the Charleston Angler and Costa Del Mar covered Z71’s in the parking lot, I figured that those kids would be able to help me out with some gear and spots to fish.

thanks reelhunter for posting. my son is in that club. anything to keep em out of trouble.

No problem PeaPod. Personally I think it is a great idea to give the high school youth a good constructive past time, and now incorporated into school and educate them on conservation at the same time in the community. It’s a shame some feel the need to try and cast a negative light on a good program. Regardless, we are here to help as much as possible:sunglasses:

SH ,
Contact me as I have some stuff to give to the group.

kinda freaky you are hanging out in a high school parking lot.

will be by today ReelHunter, have a few combos sitting collecting dust.

Great program.I wish more schools offered outdoor activities.

WG & Bolbie, ya’ll are kind, which many already know. i’m late to the party as normal. please know that many appreciate your generosity

here’s the link to the Walt Rhodes article Sunday. http://www.postandcourier.com/news/2010/oct/24/wando-high-forms-a-fishing-team/

the sponsor teacher is Mr. Provin

if some of ya’ll are feeling generous, I “hear” that the club will be looking for adult anglers to take the kids on some of their tourney’s - i.e. in your boat.

i think they’re having their 1st ‘tourney’ this sunday, surf fishing at the rocks on south end of sullivans island

and they aren’t all Z-71, costa types

I’m not entirely sure why, but everytime your Obama voting a$$ posts a comment, I want to kick you in your teeth. I was making a joke about the kids these days and their desire to be just like one another, that none of them have any sense of individualism. And you come here talking aboout stalking a high school parking lot. WTF dude. You are twisted. No need to reply as you will do nothing more than continue to back yourself into a corner.

I will see if I can bend Fritz’s arm to help out.He is always willing.

Too bad programs like these were not around in the early 80’s

Roger that! I would have loved that. Sounds like an excellent idea to me. Are other schools doing this, or just Wando? If it’s just Wando. I hope others will follow the lead.

Reelhunter,

Call some local businesses, and you’re sure to get support.

Gotcha, we (I say WE, I am simply a messenger who wants to help out) are already seeing great support for it. These young guys and gals are going to get hooked up, no doubt. I am like you, I hope other schools follow with the same or similar programs.

hey i am a member of the club at wando and any of the other high schools can join teen angler and then wando would compete against them.
