Wando Question

Anybody have a guess at how much clearance there is under the 41 bridge at high tide? Want to fish up that way, but not sure the T-top will fit under the bridge.

i would go with 9 ft, i gan get under with my rods in the holder and make it by a ft or so, rods being 6-7ft on the side of the center console

Don’t bother. No fish up thar

Sorry don’t know what got into me. Bourbon maybe.

Clrnc is way less than 9’ on a 5.5 hitide. Believe that.

A ttop can normally get under as long as there are no antennas radar, etc up. Coming from the harbor, the span to the right of the “center” section, which isn’t center of the bridge, has more clearence than the “center.” If that makes any sense what so ever…hahah.

Span on either side of the swing span has more clearance. I would guess 7.5 to 8 ft at high tide.

No boats over 17’ can go up there. Besides why would anyone go up there? All the fish are in the Ashley and Edidto Rivers…

I heard there was an E-coli epidemic that just broke out up there with all this fresh water. Then I heard there was a petrolium spill up there. Probably just some yahoo making up stories but I’d play it safe and fish the Ashley for a while.

Just go real slow. No one up there, except half of Charleston on a Saturday. Jeez…

Thanks guys. I’m just going up that way to take pictures, I figured it was way too far up the river for fish to be there anyway.

There is great bream fishing above the 41 bridge so bring a tube of crickets.

Lots of trash fish up there

Flounder how about you stick to your reading reports and not posting anymore? Go hit some more of your “medical marijuana</font id=“green”>:slightly_smiling_face:” and try not to get too worked up. . .

At high tide my rod tips will hit the bottom of the swing span. My rod holders are attached to the back of my cooler seat, so the rod butts are sitting on the deck. I would say the clearance would be around 6 feet or slightly less. Not sure about the left or right side.

Hey Flounder, you may want to smoke a little less weed before your next post so it will be somewhat coherent.

He must have been high and does not remember making those 26 other posts.
