Wando, right below the 41 bridge

Started the day with a nice 24" red caught on a gulp shrimp and popping cork. Caught it right under the power line poles below the 41 bridge. I ended up catching 5 trout and bringing home 3 of them. Also had a small gator sneak up on me which was neat as long as they don’t get much bigger around there. All three of the trout had empty stomachs which was odd with all the bait around.

Where did you put in at?

Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.

I put in at the BP right at the bridge.

Got ya, I thought that was private, I wanted to fish those docks across the waterway, fished from them before and done really well

There are fees for boats to launch but they are pretty kayak friendly if you don’t get in the way of people launching or picking up.

No problem, I’m going to try and hit it this weekend if I can find a sitter for my daughter. Do you fish out of a kayak too?

Thats a great area - try going back on the flats - Reds really school up back in there when the water cools off

Fished incoming tide with my Pontoon in October 2011 also -
