Can someone give me info on red fish and trout fishing in Nowell Creek? How far from 41 Bridge landing to Nowell Creek. Any info or tips will be appreciated.

Fishing is good up that way, along with wake-boarding, jet skiing, tubing and all things annoying if you’re trying to fish. I’m sure that barge holds fish, but it’s probably the most pressured piece of structure on the wando. Fish the grasslines with popping cork or light Carolina rigs, I’ve caught a lot of fish in there but I wont mess with it on a weekend due to traffic. From the 41 bridge, it probably takes me 15-20 minutes running at 30mph so maybe around 10miles (I’m not a great guesstimator of distances).

Roughly 6 miles according to Google Earth. If you fish anything other than under a float, expect to lose a few rigs.
