I’m thinking of maybe getting one, too. I found a small two-man boat in the paper awhile back that I got to fish small lakes and stuff, but I haven’t even put it in the water yet. I may put it in the paper and try to sell it or trade it for a yak - yaks seems much more practical.
Good luck finding one, and let me know when you want to get together and throw those long rods. I was thinking about trying the fish tomorrow morning, but looks like that nor’easter might be a bit too strong for me.
Edited to add: I may try to go out first thing Sunday morning, if the wind lays down - you’re more than welcome to tag along. I was thinking of running up the Wando to do some recon for some spring wading and maybe try to find a few trout or reds while I’m there. Let me know.
for a yak, there are several options Dave, Pawn shops, craiglist.
I have a Tarpon 140 that I’d like to sell.
Only thing is, there are a couple of minor “dings” in the boat that need to be taken care off before its ready to get back on the water. But it’s totally fixable. Dave at Timeout has taken a look, and he and I agree its just a matter of doin it the right way.
I’m not the handiest guy in the world, so I’d like to sell the boat with the dings for a discount. Great boat and its seen hundreds of redfish go down…

USC, if you decide to tag along with FishinFrenzy, give me a shout at the store, we can hook you up with a boat for the day.

DD, I'm in a jon boat, so no need to make him paddle. :stuck_out_tongue:
I may also be in the market for a yak, though. I bought a Bass Tender 10.2 (small, 2 man boat) this summer to use in the lake near my house, but it has sat in the garage ever since. If I can get some money for it, I’ll probably be looking towards a used yak.
Know anyone who wants a small boat?
i have a otter xt with rod holders its a sitin and only one year old 9ft that im selling 250.
