I got a question for yall. Currently running the standard 12" rim with tire and looking to upgrade to bigger. Reason why tires keep blowing out trying to keep up with truck tires. Can i just replace leaf spring and rim/tire or do i need to change out hub too. Anybody know of any local shops with good prices for these items? Want to try to stay local to help businesses around here. Thanks
Boats a 16’ carolina skiff JVX if that makes a difference

You can keep your hubs. You just need to purchase new wheels and tires with the correct bolt pattern.
I’d recommend Charleston Trailer on Dorchester.
I’m actually going to upgrade my wheels and tires this season on the J14 trailer up to 13’s. I haven’t had any issues with the 12’s but with the roads around here and the fact that I’m going to be making some longer trips with it this year, I’d like the piece of mind. I already have the wheels, just have to grab tires.
Also don’t forget to get a new spare wheel/tire as well.

X2 for Charleston Trailer. Call him with your questions he’s very helpful. Offered to hang around after his normal closing time one Saturday last summer for one new tire/wheel for me while I tried to get there from Mt. P. I made it in time but still great folks, great offer, and I’ll go back.
Thanks yall. I forgot all about him honestly. And thats sad bc thats who we got to rebuild the axle last summer. Thanks going to give him a call tom.

I actually have a set of 13" 4 lug wheels I don’t need. They’re almost new, no rust or damage. Just some scuffs from being moved around for the last few years. Never had tires on them. $20 for the pair if you want them. I had them for sale on here last year but no one wanted them.
Mine is 5 lug so they’re of no use to me.
I’m sure Chas Trailer has them in 4 lug.
