to use in the boat or at home?
either or both…
bonzo…he is getting the hang of it…but the heat is tough on them so he is trying to seperate them into smaller amounts too. its a “work in progress” but he is really enjoying it. Crabbing isnt what it was. he pulled 70 pots today for a bushel and 20 lbs total. he is thinking about hauling all of his pots to the hill for a while.

He has a old bathtub hooked up with a pump and drain…but needs something he can haul them in in the boat and if it would work…to haul them in to where he goes. Don’t know how big… Just putting feelers out in case anyone has any of any size stuck in a shed somewhere…thanks

tell him to get one of the real big coleman coolers from wally world and rig up an aerator pump inside it to circulate the water. Mud minnows will live just fine as long as you keep the water cool. I actually found one at the dump this year that was filthy, but other wise fine other than the plug was missing. I took it home, cleaned it up with bleach and water and bought one of those mini boat plugs that fit the drain hole perfectly for about 5 bucks. So with the whole thing I have less than 6 bucks in a 150 quart cooler that looks brand new.

I use 275 gallon tote tanks to hold and transport … You can get them all day long in West Columbia for $60 …
If you want smaller the same place has 50 gallon plastic barrels for $5 …
USA Supply - call (803) 719-0202 and ask for Randy …
I keep bigger bait (Shad, Trout, & Herring) in the tanks so a 275 gallon tote might be over kill for your needs …
But it’s still fun to watch them with the GoPro … http://youtu.be/fecDzRmji-M

I can say the big totes work well! I keep herring in one and giz shad in another, Had problems at first but with a lot of fit and miss they work well. The best thing I did was to build a roof over them to keep the rain, snow and sun off. I use a sump pump to filter and aireate.
