From most people I have heard when they are caught here most people have no use for them, but I would love to fill my deep freezer with them for shark bait for the upcoming blacktip challenge in FL.
If anyone catches them often, keep me in mind, I will come pick them up if you are in the charleston area.

I would have given you the one that I grudgingly smoked for a friend of mine. He caught it on a headboat, and was literally going to have it mounted (weighed maybe 8 pounds). I tried to explain to him that it was basically an offshore carp. After I talked him out of getting it mounted for several hundred $$, he decided to cook it. Finally I convinced him to let me smoke it. I tried my best to overpower the fish flavor with massive amounts of mesquite, but still didn’t quite work lol.
Saying “I am offended” is telling everyone else that you cannot control your own emotions, and thus you need everyone else to do it for you.
Y’all rip on em but do the light meat right on a smoker an they taste mighty fine
