I want to try bait binder this year and are wondering how big other users make their balls and how many per pole?
How many trips per bag?
Is it cost effective over meal and clay@48.95/40# bag of meal?
Size of a lime, 2 or 3 per pole, depending on how I feel at the time. I usually get roughly 3 sets out of the 25lb bag if I don’t make the balls too big.
I won’t go out and say it’s necessarily cost effective over meal and clay, but is much easier and way less messy.

Can’t go wrong with bait binder. It’s easy to use and works great. I make small patties with mine. Holds the bottom well with a bigger surface area.
I use both.no doubt binder is less messy. One downfall I have noticed is it seems everytime I use binder flipper shows up almost immediately. Maybe coincidentally or maybe it’s the oily in the binder that puts out a stronger scent.I’m really not partial to either but I do always like to have a small bag of binder on board just in case

hey Doug; I do believe that he just one upped you on that comment. that is too funny. when you want to hit bulls bay. the boat is ready. the tags are here. i am going to try something else this year. i will take my boat; my tags; my knowledge and my boat gas and the other person uses their truck and their gas. sounds reasonable to me.what do you think about that?

i’m available just about anytime now that I am retired. by the way. forget about that “knowledge” part. i’m just as good as the next guy when the shrimp are there. ha ha however; i do have a couple of spots that have worked for me most of the time in the bay.
