Warning to Bushy Park friends

Be careful all, as if our bushy park ramp doesn’t have enough issues with the depth, there is something large and metal right in the middle of “the channel” about 150yds from the dock. I almost trashed my brand new prop Saturday eve. Just an FYI. Not really a report but be careful!! Other than that trout bite on the outgoing in yellow house is on fire! I don’t think it matters what you use. Jigs, jerk baits, live bait all producing good for me. There are some nice ones in the mix too!

Thanks for the info.

Bushy is a scary place to launch or come in on low tide but yellowhouse does produce some good fishing.

Definitely thanks for the heads up! Wonder what can be done about it? If DNR was notified, is there anything they could/would do? Should us locals just try to tie a rope or 2 around it and try to drag it out of there?? Whatcha think?

If it’s a sunk boat looks like a 15 17 ft aluminum one. My 75hp mercy doesn’t have enough huevos for that job

Guns kill people just like spoons made Rosie O’donell fat.

Can someone post a picture at low tide from the ramp?
Need to know where it is.

I’ll mark it next time I’m out if possible.

How about something like a Garmin DownVu, or other structure scan to see what it is? Does the Coast Guard go that far?

I got double that and I know more than one person that would help me/us do it too…

I fish there often and would be more than willing to lend a hand.

I idled through there 4 times yesterday at high tide watching the down and side imaging.
That place looks like the surface of the moon with all the scars and trails left by boat motors.

I was unable to find the object.
A picture from the ramp will help us locate it.

I have 200hp to throw into the mix…

150 yards isn’t far! If you can get a rope on it, run the rope to the ramp and pull it out with a Pick Up Truck! Just a thought:wink:

If we get more details on this I’m more than willing to help. I come flying in there when I loose track of time and the tides rolling out. Not trying to slam into something…

If we can get that much help, lets all line up our boats in the ditch at outgoing and gun em - we can dredge it ourselves in a couple hours

This is something I would like to be a part of haha:smiley:

In all seriousness though, I would be willing to try for real!

Everybody is protesting everything these days… Let’s go protest outside the DNR office and maybe they will dredge it hahaha… Just kidding I have a job I don’t have time for that… In the mean time I will just keep carefully planing my trips… Might have to go get one of those prodigy boats with a gator tail mud motor.

I’d much rather hook a rope to my trailer hitch, than pull a cleat off my boat! If you spin the tires on the truck, just some of ya’ll fat guys that are there to help, climb in the back:smiley:
