Dabo suspended him for the whole wake game and is making him run staduim stairs during practice his week.

just read that dabo suspended Matavius Bryant for the first 1/2 of the Wake game for doing the throat slash gesture in the endzone of the NC State game…which the ref’s didn’t see.
Good call on Dabo that could have cost us the TD and he needs to learn.

I don’t anything about the kid, but if this is the first time he has been in trouble, I think a full game is to much. He made a impulse mistake. I think practice punishment would be enough. If he has been in trouble before, that is different.
With that said, playing WF next makes it easier to set an example.
I’m not sure which is worse. The punch or the throat slash…Oh wait, I know, the one that demonstrates killing someone.

This is football, fights, punches, ball grabbing, knees to the nads, eye gouging, rabbit punches etc happen, taking it out is pussification of the game. Schhitt like that happens in hockey, baseball, basketball, real wrestling and rugby as well, get over it for find something less violent and offensive to watch.
Oh I know lets have the boxers of this world brought up on assault and battery charges.

You must have played in the all puss league if you never had a fight in a game growing up. Speaking of soap boxes and hypocrites, a Chicken fan making such a big deal over something like this is just stupid, I can remember more than one fight or cheap shot taken or started by your boys over the last few years.
Let it drop, the kid punched another player, big deal, it happens no matter who you pull for. He’s being disciplined by the NCAA and more by the coaching staff exceeding the precedent set by the rules. Or would you rather them all don flags and run around shaking hands after every play?
Oh and BTW, Dabo has said this is his only chance at redemption, he does it again, he’s done at Clemson. Did Spurrier or Holtz do that with any of those players that swung in a game?
