Here are some flies that I added to my fly box this past winter. All are ‘home ties’.
Some mine, some from friends.
have you tried the blue crab ?? wondered how the other color crabs work out…
</font id=“quote”></blockquote id=“quote”>The boy that tied that fly is local and got the pattern from scottyD. The guys on the gulf coast fishing sites rave about that pattern in those colors. Most of these are new to my fly box and haven’t been on my rod yet but, I can’t remember any of them that doesn’t come with positive endorsements from they guys who tied them.
Yeah looks pretty bright for here, although I saw a crab pattern somewhere that involved some hackle wrapping and some ep fibers, I will tie one when my blue hackle comes in the mail I will post it … that crab above looks nice
Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.

this fly is a little lighter than my crab and works better sometimes when the fish are a little spookier…
It was a killer last year. I’m always workin’ on my patterns, and developing new ones… Ive caught well over a hundred tailers personally on the crab… never hurts to see what else I can come up with to feed em’
