I come down to Folly during the summer and like to troll the forum from time to time. I wanted to share a pet project of mine (http://fishcurrents.com/) to create a free current map application to use for fishing. Tide charts are not always an accurate prediction current flow on certain bodies of water that have a lot of tributaries like the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay (where I live). Tide charts also don’t give you current speeds. It includes local Charleston currents a as well as all NOAA produced surface currents for the entire US (2000+ current stations on the east coast from Maine to FL, Gulf coast, West Coast, Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico). If you like it, use it, it is free. If you have a favorite app that you use, no harm. I did this for fun just to see if I could. Enjoy.
