Water level

These are a few pics taken Sunday of the hatchery landing. Managed to get out and get a few nice bream. Water is bad low.

c

hopefully the rain we have been getting will start to ease the drought upstate and the water will rise

Our dock in Bonneau…

Anyone in the Moultrie area that could update us on the water level? Heard a rumor that the lake was full again and they were in the process of spilling excess water.

water level is up almost three feet and holding there because they are letting a lot of water out now. I know Santee Cooper is letting out over 385,000 gallons per second from Wilson Dam on Marion. Went down to Wilson Landing this afternoon and the water in the river is up probably 15-20 ft higher than last week.

Thanks for the update. Hope everyone is safe

Thanks for the update.

I wonder what effect all of this will have on the stripers now

Looking for the big one

Spilling continues at Wilsons. The gates have increased output to 75,500cfs. Hard to measure inflows with so much rain run-off between the USGS meters in Columbia and the mouth of the lakes. The goal is to not allow the 2 lakes to flood without wiping out all of the santee river basin. Its a tricky balance.

Put in a hatchery today. Much better. Up about 2.5 to 3 feet. Water temp was 70 degress. Fished about 2 hours. Caught 13 bream. Nice day though.
