One disadvantage of getting old and retired is that one loses track of the days. Like it’s Tuesday and Lake World is closed for bait. So I did some scrambling last night and figured getting big shiners from Lake Murray Hardware was my best bet. Looked up on the internet how to rig them. The actual weather didn’t match my interpretation as the clouds were blocking out the sun, the wind was howling from the west with whitecaps and my 55 pounds of thrust trolling motor was barely adequate. Then it started to rain and get colder. Ducked into a little cove just SE of the island to get us out of the wind. Saw what looked like good fish on the FF, so we started circling the cove working close to the banks and occasionally down the middle of it. Still no action until I discovered, by accident, that every time I pee’d, we caught a fish. Wound up with 6 keepers. Had two that were a little over 26 inches and another 25 inch. So it didn’t turn out to be as bad as I first feared. All fish caught on planer boards over about 20 feet of water.
That is so funny!! I’m gonna make sure we fill you up with plenty of water next time we are out so we can catch plenty of fish!! Good job guys!!

So, I guess the upside of getting older is you have to pee a lot
I fished Crystal lake today. No live bait just trolled bucktails and u-rigs. Not a single bite. Marked a few scattered fish but that was it.
The weatherman really blew the forecast today calling for south wind 5-10. Actually more like 10-20 and from the west. I even managed to get rained on. Still good to get out on the water. Can’t catch 'em on the sofa.

BTW, the water in Crystal was stained. Iced tea colored with a lot of debris floating around. Grass pine cones twigs and the occasional log and big tree branch.

Your pee must be sweeter than mine, because when I pee in the the water the back transom bait moves to the other side … LOLOLOL
There was lots of floating debris mid lake this past weekend … We were dodging whole trees … Thank goodness the winds were minimal otherwise I would have played havoc trying to tread the trees alongside the boat and in between our planers and free lines …
… it’s my Wife’s fault we HAVE to fish !!!

Congrats on the fish, It’s only weird if it don’t work. You got to stick with a pattern. If PEE turns em on stick with it!

Mike, if you and Pattianne continue catching them like that, I am going to come and “camp out” in your coves. BTW, I got my internet access back.
