Headed towards the SST break and currents we saw on terrafin near the between the 226 & 380. Stopped in 320 with 30 other boats working a big rip and weedline. Everybody was catching fish and the action was nonstop right off the bat.
Had 18 phins mostly gaffers and two skippys in the boat by 11am so switched to the plastics knowing a blue had to be around.
5 minutes later we see a dolphin jumping just 30ft off our port and a then a big blue comes up behind him and takes a swat. the dolphin valiantly tried to make his escape but after a 3rd jump the blue turned and caught him on his way down. Spectacular show, right next to the boat and if that phin had gotten away I bet he would came into the spread.
There were no favorite colors, everything was hit. Water temp was 73.

Sounds like the weed line my buddies pulled 26 off of. Ran out of bait at 10:30. Said when they first found it, there was a small CC with trolling motor down bass fishing it. First pass 6 rods down. Said by noon it was 30+ boats on it and it slowed down. On way in crossed a huge rip in180 loaded with p-nuts and let them live another day. Hope this baby gets here soon so I can get out before yal catchem all.
Yep. We saw the guy with the trolling motor casting around a big tree that was in the rip. Never seen so many 21\22ft single engine ccs out there before.
I almost didn’t have to read the report, and just look at the picture to sum up how your day went!! Congrats on a great run Shelvin. I can’t wait to get out there soon and duplicate this effort of yours.
