water we doin' 6/21

Fished to the south and had a good ride out at 28/30mph. Started in 220 and pushed out deeper to try to find better water as it was pretty dark. Picked up on 20# dolphin early then nothing for an hour or two so we moved back in towards the ledge.

On the way back we saw a white marlin free jumping about 50 yards off the bow. Then, missed a sail that slashed at a bait but did not come back to eat. Had small blue come streaking in on the surface but dissapeared quickly. Stayed in that area for awhile but nothing else happend.

Headed north and picked up 4 more dolphin and tossed a peanut back. Thought we were going to end the day with a wahoo when the purple and black rig started screaming drag on the 25W, but it was a oversided foul hooked bonito.

The ride back in was at 40mph on a smooth ocean.

forgot to mention we saw this boat heading towards chs harbor on our way out. When we got offshore there was wood in the water everywhere but too fresh to hold fish.
