It is my first time fishing below the Wateree Dam. Everyone there are saying the limit on stripers are 26". But on the SCDNR website does not have that restriction. Can anyone tell me what is the striper limit there?
I’m not sure where to find the info on their website, but it will be in the SCDNR rules and regulations book under fresh water fishing. The guys who fish there regularly are probably right.
3 fish, 26". It’s on the DNR web site. Click on Santee River System in the striper regs and it will show the Wateree up to the dam.

correct 3 fish and 26" below the dam. If you go into the lake 10 fish, no size limit.
Thank you everyone for the info
Be careful upriver of the 601 landing. It is ROUGH in places. There are lots of small fish being reported caught up and down from there.
Bass fishing is great on that river. Used to fish it a lot when I lived in lugoff. Never caught any striper.
