Just saw this on the web. Interesting concept. I’ve read some posts on here about someone who designed their own dual hull pontoon style kayak and has been fishing with it.

Bowfin,
You might be thinking of my Biyak design. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwYtesb07j0
The wooden version will have a small photo and caption in May’s Wooden Boat Magazine. My patent application has been published and a molded version of the boat is being built in North Carolina. I should have that prototype later this month. If all goes well we will be thermoforming Biyaks this summer. I got a lot of good ■■■■■■■■/ideas from the CF Kayak board and I’m grateful. Thanks again for the input. Here is a pic of the plug that I made for the pontoons. (The plug appears overly tall, but part of that is lap and part is trim.)
To get things going, the first boats will be thermoformed by the same company that is making the composite prototype up in NC. I might be able to work with MultiPlastics in Mount Pleasant, in the future, but I’ll do some field testing before I worry about that. (I like being able to fish and telling my wife that I am field testing.)
eza88, yes I was thinking of your design.
Came across the website for the wavewalk design and thought it was interesting. They went a different direction with their pontoon style yak with an open top, high profile, and that weird raised seat. Thought folks might be curious to see it too.
I prefer the design of your bi-yak with the enclosed pontoons with hatches. I enjoy seeing your progress working on the prototypes.
