Corner Lake is on the Coosawhatchie. FYI
bob- saw your post last week before i went on a trip way up the combahee… after seeing the picture i was just about peeing down both legs ready to get out there!
first time i was asked to go on an annual camping trip with a bunch of guys- i am now in love with the place. we did very well on the redbreast. beautiful fish, unbeatable scenery, and a few of them ate very well too. also got my biggest river crappie on a cricket.
species list for the trip (seen and caught): mudfish, gar, warmouth, spotted sunfish, redbreast, crappie, channel catfish, pickerel, largemouth, blue heron, egret, gator, brown water snake, copperhead, stuff i can’t remember because i was inebriated. still not sure how i got that cut on my toe.
well played wang.
i forgot the ticks, mosquitoes and gnats. easy to do when everything else is so perfect…

No yellow flies? There HAD to be yellow flies on the Combahee. Evil little bastards they are. How was the water level?
You gonna talk or FISH!
quite low when we were there last week. there were a few deerflies and horseflies too… i blocked out the bad memories and can only remember brightly colored fish and blue cans now!
You go wang… I thought that you said “fresh water was for drinking” see ya at work.
