Weather effects

Trying to decide when to go this weekend but was wondering what impact you all think the rain might have on 'em. Thinking about a Saturday day trip to Bennetts Point and then maybe a night in the Harbor on Sunday. I know theres a big tide in store for the weekend but wondering what effects all of the rain will have with the big tide coming.

On another note, I hope it’s nice and clear Sunday night to watch the blood moon from the harbor. That will be pretty cool…

yeah thinking about that too…want to hit BP sunday but worried the heavy dose of fresh water might be done pushed em out…hope ya go Saturday and tell us ya got em!

You can’t catch em sitting on the couch. I’d go.

Im going to go, Last time didnt go so well. And im hoping ill at least get some scouting in. Switched shrimping locations from beaufort to Bulls bay about 2 years ago and still figuring things out. Im the guy in the gray jetjon btw.

Me and my boys were thinking about going this weekend as well, prob Sunday. The rain should be moved out by tomorrow. From Summerville but have a couple spots I like, Charleston Harbor is usually my first choice.

Did you get your motor fixed? I was the one who gave you a tow. Never really found them that day. Full cooler in the sound yesterday.

If it fly’s, floats, or, friggs, rent it!

Turned out to have a cracked head. Sourcing another motor. Luckily they are cheap. Went to the north end again last night, got about a gallon, fog and driving mist. Gotta find one of these secret spots you guys speak of lol

And thanks again for the tow

No problem, we gotta look out for each other. Have you tried Bennett point? Ive done good there lately, the size aint bay size but decent.

I had some relatives from upstate down here shrimping and went with them Saturday morning. We shrimped up the Ashley and caught about 3/4 of a cooler of small and mediums. There were a lot of even smaller shrimp jumping through the net. I was catching bait for fishing Sunday in a feeder creek off Horlbeck and caught plenty of bait shrimp. All of that to say that there seems to be plenty of small shrimp up the creeks. They’ll be moving down into the harbor as they grow up. It doesn’t appear that the rain pushed them out.
