Anybody have any good input for weather tomorrow? NOAA is showing 2ft out to 20nm, then 4-8 ft after that. Seems like a pretty big disconnect. Buoyweather is predicting 4 ft at 5 seconds calming to 4ft at 9 seconds throughout the day.
I’d like to head back out 40-50 miles, but that forecast is dicey. What say ye?
Good luck with that…but I’m the wrong guy to give input. After getting our asses handed to us last Friday after a 2ft seas forcast, I don’t know where to look. Sailflow, Reefcast, NOAA etc all said smooth sailing last Friday morning only to roll out to stacked up 4 footers right in the chops. Tried to stop at the 60 and another nearshore live bottom and only ended up with rain showers and 2 kids yaking over the side of the boat.
reefcast looks like 4’ at 5 sec as well, which would be pretty nasty.
I wont post my opinion on the latter half of the week so as not to bring the wrath of the weather voodoo gods.
Thank you, we don’t need any jinxing.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Where is the best place to get an accurate wind forecast? I have had 2 trips with the Voyager cancelled because of wind. I am gonna try again saturday but I don’t want to waste another trip. I am trying to go before my 16 year old goes back to Pittsburgh next week.
I really think you’ll be fine this weekend. I am more of a fair weather and this weekend seems to be a good one. Well Saturday anyways. But to answer. Your question I use reefcast noaa and sail flow. And courtland’s weather perdictions lol.
