weather man got it wrong again

This time in my favor, but still a problem. At bedtime last night the weather looked pretty miserable. I talked to my client and pulled the plug on today’s trip.

This morning I woke up early anyway, walked outside to see a perfectly clear, starry sky, and not a breath of wind. Grabbed a cup of coffee and a bowl of fruit loops, then out the door. I was going fishing; no clients, no worries, just fishing for the fun of it.

I tried shooting a couple of Too Busy’s Tech Tips, but the rods just kept going off while I was filming. Didn’t matter what I put out, it got hit. finger mullet, shrimp, crab, then switched to plastics; Z-Man CrabZ, ShrimpZ and Rain MinnowZ.

Since I was trying to film TBTT’s I put the plastics out and dead sticked them on circle hooks.

I wish, ended up staying home instead of fishing, hope that I have the same luck. Good video, makes me want to be out there even more

I know. I cancelled my fishing trip and cut the grass instead, then it didn’t rain until 5 oclock. I was not a happy camper.

Yeah it was nice out there today. I saw you catch one of those 25 when I passed you today.

Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught.

Aj

Come on now, I wasn’t invited haha, Looks like you had a great day

Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.

It was a fun day Dave. I had a punch list of 4 videos that I wanted to shoot. Every time I put a rod out and started talking, the drag would start to scream. Gotta love it when the fish cooperate with the plan.

I like the long rod. I can run a fish around the bow of the T160 with ease.

For landing, just be sure not to reel in too much line. I keep a full rod length of line between the rod tip and the fish
