We cancelled trip to ledge yesterday due to weather - seas reported 4+ ft at 3-4 AM at buoy.
I saw buoy settle down later in the morning.
It’s academic now, however for future reference…
How was the ride to the ledge 5-7 AM Sunday July 7th?

I heard several boats turned around but it was nice later.

Frustrating that the Edisto buoy only shows dominate wave only now. The wind wave condition was so helpful previously.

First 20 miles were bumpy. Less wind after that so wave period was around 7 seconds which helped a lot. Wish trolling was better. Ride back was for sure better than the ride out.

rollers on the way out… only ran 15-17 mph flatend out around 9 and ran in around 2 at 30mph

you gotta plan your trips based on what the previous winds and wind direction has been doing- edisto buoy and forecast sites are only tools and you put those tools into your own equation to make best guess- sorry you had to turn around
