left Bohicket creek at 4:30am, lines in the water at Edisto banks before 7, started catching throwback dolphin and bonita so got out of there in search of better water temps and evidence of bait, stopped at some of my deep bottom numbers and trolled around them, bait balls in the water but no flyers picked up 2 gaffers and a slinger and lost 4 gaffers spitting the hook when jumping. Figured out the problem and only lost 1 other fish rest of the day.

Pushed out deeper toward the 226 looking for better temps, rips and fish and found them. Finished filling the first fish box and started on the second. Had to leave them biting a little after 4 pm. Could have done a lot better with 1 more experienced man in the boat but everybody was scared( wouldn’t call out sick).

Ran out at an easy 25 and could have ran in at 60 if the boat would go that fast.

Really glad we went- almost cancelled when I looked at the 2 am weather report.

Freaking work. Cramps my fishing life. Way to go!
