Headed out to my new favorite bottom fishing grounds and immediately got on the fish. We were in hopes of putting Mr. Grouper in the boat as he tends to elude us. We caught too many too count vermillion and red porgies, 2 Grunts, 2 Triggers, 1 sea bass and finally got a nice sized red grouper in the boat. He hit a frozen cigar minnow (we had run out of live bait)

nice job, i wish i could have made it.

Did you take Mike out there?

Nope, he bailed too. Let me know when you want to go. I need to fish once a week so I’ll quit trying to sell the boat. Can’t fish weekends though.

For fish like that, I can get free during the week.

Wind from the West, fish bite the best.
Wind from the South blows bait in their mouth.
North or East, take extra beer.</font id=“size1”>

Yep, same area and it was thick with fish. Hard keeping the smaller ones off the lines. We set up Hot Carl with a chicken rig and he was pulling 'em up 2 at a time.

Nice.
