Wed Evening Report

Went out for a couple of hours to get some numbers to go to tomorrow and the fishing was good. Got in the water at 7 and got fish #10 at 9:15. What made in really encouraging was we caught at least 2 fish in each of 4 spots we stopped. We got 7 off the bottom on 3 different humps in 75-85’ and then the last 3 drifting in the river channel.

Probably 7 of the 10 were legit keepers to 25".

Looking good for a whole bunch of fish to be caught tomorrow.

Thanks for the report! I just got back from Orlando yesterday afternoon and haven’t fished since Wednesday a week ago. Sounds like they should be right where I left them based on all the intelligence I’ve gathered:) Hopefully, we can show the soldiers a good time tomorrow AM!

I didn’t know you hadn’t been out. Now I’m really glad we found some fish…cause plan B was to follow you! LOL

Good job! Until I saw your last 2 reports I was about to suggest heading to coast for a while and give the striper a break as the reds are on fire down there lately.

Glad to hear you caught fish.
I was out this morning (Thursday). Beautiful morning to be on the water.
Marked a lot of fish in the same types of areas you described. However I was too cheap to buy bait and came home empty handed. They didn’t want the spoons today. I saw a few caught on live bait but it seemed to be over early.

Good luck to those of you fishing with the troops tomorrow.

My friend that came out jigged a spoon pretty much the entire time we were out last evening and never had a hit…even when they were thick under the boat and would bite the live bait. I wonder if they are starting to get a bit lethargic like they do in the mid summer and not as likely to hit a dropping spoon. Even when they hit our live bait it seemed like they weren’t quite as aggressive as they normally are.

Skiff, you’re always welcome to hang with me:) If my fish have left the county, I may need to call on you as well.
