Wednesday 5/22

I took out my new to me 20ft angler for its first trip offshore. Left the dock at 4am not knowing exactly what to expect, but I figured I would stick my nose out and see how it was. Was actually surprised at how nice it was, so we decided to keep going. We rode out and put lines in at 130ft. Within ten minutes we had a wahoo on! Caught a Bonita next in 135’. Then caught a small dolphin in 140’. We kept pushing out to the deli and turned around to troll back in. We had a nice dolphin come skying out of the water on one of our baits but it missed the hook. We hooked up with a nice wahoo but it spit the hook. We ended the day with 3 barracudas. I’ve never seen so many turtles in one day though. We must have seen at least 25. We had a nice ride back. We couldn’t have ask for a nicer day. I will post pictures tomorrow.

If I didn’t need a job to own and fish my boat I wouldn’t have one. Seems like every weekend the weather sucks and during the week it is fishable. Well played nature…

Man you don’t see days like that often. Nice job

Boy does are the kind of days you like, good deal and nice looking boat.

Nice boat, sounds like a great first offshore trip! Wish I had the four-stroke, I’m sure it’s pretty easy on the gas. If you don’t already have them, get a set of trim tabs - they are worth every penny on these boats, especially on the days that don’t look like that!

The wahoo was good!

I do have the trim tabs on the boat. It make a HUGE difference.

We left the dock at 4am and got back around 4pm and burned 49 gallons of gas. I was pretty pleased with that.
