Wednesday Afternoon PainKiller 11/5/14

Humbling. Left the dock with dreams of 4 man limits of Wahoo. Dear friend went yesterday to the scarp and did just that. So away we went - right to his numbers - high speed trolling spread out and we counted down the seconds for our first strike. It never happened. Same location, same plugs, nothing. Marking great bottom, water temp was the same as he recorded, 74 degrees, and nothing.

After 90 minutes of high speed, we went back to old reliable ballyhoo. And then one football black fin was hooked up - and spit the hook while surfing in the prop wash.

And NOTHING - saw a bill fish swim towards our spread, didn’t take the bait. After 90 minutes, it was time to pack up and head home.

Daylight savings time - left the stream at 4pm (I am not sure how that is saving daylight - certainly shortened our fishing time) - smooth ride home.

Humbling.

Maybe I need to go back to tuesdays?

Tight lines,
Jason

The water moves my friend! good try and thanks for the report as usual!

Momma said there would be days like that. Nothing wrong with getting humbled sometimes :sunglasses:
