Managed a day off Wednesday, and decided try try my luck fishing…first time in too long.
Got on the water about 8:00am as tide was coming in. Went to first spot and tried for the Reds. Managed 4 fish in the 18"-22" range. They were caught on a poppin cork with live shrimp, right on the grass line and over oysters.
Moved to a second spot and managed a few trout and decent whiting using a shrimp on a Carolina rig. Decided to call it a day about 1:00 when the winds started picking up.
All fish released, except one red that went in the frying pan for dinner. All in all, a great half day on the water.
