Got to the dam by 6:30, “b-sed” with Bill Janus and David for better than a half hour, got bait, took out my one downrod and a spoon combo, and left the dock around 7:15. Fish were not strong where I left them; so I went on the hunt. I settled on an 80 foot drop adjacent to the river channel, and it was on! In short order I had my 5 with 2 good fish coming unbuttoned. Action was all within 10 feet of the bottom. 4 were legits to 28 inches with one 17 inch squealer to end the morning. Didn’t get any on spoons today.
Other good news included my jury duty for tomorrow being canceled due to a continuance. Also, Dr. Kirchner gave me a good report after my examination today and said I could get back to all my normal activities. (I haven’t really slowed down much anyway.
