Wednesday morning

Went out with downrods and live herring and fished some deeper holes and cuts adjacent to some points. Marked lots of fish and they were in an aggressive mood. While most were short, had several keepers which included a 23,24, and 25. We left sooner than normal because we were out of bait. It gets hot in a hurry.

Depth of water? How far down with the baits? If ya dont mind me aasking.

One hole (or cut) was 47 feet and the other was 56 feet. They were both adjacent to points with shallower water close by. Two of our three “bigger” fish were caught a couple cranks right off the bottom. The other “bigger” one was at 40 feet. Marked very heavy concentrations of fish in both locations virtually filling up the display from 20-40 feet several times. I know, most were short, which was why I had some rods on the bottom. Doubles and triples are still fun. Once we both thought we had on very, very good fish at the same time. Turned out to be “almost” keepers that crossed our lines and we were pulling against each other. Water temp at 78.6.

Thanks for the report Michael…
