Jacob and I planned to fish on Tuesday night, but the NE wind did not seem to want to quit so we bumped it to Wednesday after work as the wind was supposed to lay down. Our plan was to fish the harbor and I knew the high tides would be an issue, but thought we could catch the early part of outgoing after 6:00. The wind had other ideas and stayed out of the NE all day and kept pushing water into the harbor on top of the high tides. When we hit the harbor we knew that plan was not going to work so we opted for a hastily planned “plan B” and went to an area I have not fished since I was a kid, which is a long time ago. The marshes were already flooded out so we went in search of hard structure fish along docks. We found a good spot with a dock and sea wall and after a cast or two we could feel some really good rip rap on the bottom. After bumping through it a couple of times I felt a solid hit. The rod doubled over and I immediately reached up and put a little more heat on the drag as we were between two docks and the fish was determined to head for the pilings. I was able to get the rod tip down low and start steering him and after a couple of close calls we got him to the boat. Measured out at 34” Caught on a 4” Z-Man scented PaddlerZ in Ralph Shad with a 3/16oz Trout Eye in Pearl. On a another note we have been working to make posting pics easier on the site and I was able to post this pic from my phone so hoping we are heading in the right direction.
Very nice fish!

It’s not talking crap if you can back it up…and nothing can back it up better than facts.
