Wee Tee Lake - Sat 10/18

Hi guys…I know some don’t do Facebook, but a few of us from the LKA group page are going to Wee Tee Lake for some freshwater fishing this Saturday.

Wee Tee Lake is an oxbow lake located in the Wee Tee State Forest, about 15 miles on the other side of Jamestown. It contains big gar, bowfin, largemouth bass, warmouth, bream, crappie, catfish, etc…

We are meeting at the Arby’s on Hwy 52 in Moncks Corner at 0800 Saturday morning…departing from there to Wee Tee. Feel free to PM me if you’d like to tag along.

Me with a Largemouth Bass

Elgeebee with one in many. Bowfin caught.
This was a great spot to kayak fish. There four of us and a handful of others in sneak boats. Everyone was hooking up. Had a great time.

Looks like a pretty place, I’ve never heard of it. Is it pretty shallow, or does it have any kind of deeper channel in it?

There are deeper spots, but the waterway has lots of limbs and fallen trees throughout. Boats can go in there, but can’t use their motors - electric or human-power only, so it is very quiet.
