I used weed eater line for years - loved it - but then too - my teasers were a bunch of beer cans strung together. Caught plenty of fish! NB
Used weedeater line for several seasons. Seemed to hold up longer than the mono (more UV resistant?) with far less creep and less stretch. Plus it was easier to grab when wet compared to the mono. I don’t get the mono high horse. Why not use something if it’s more practical and helps you catch fish at less cost? Not to mention, who’s going to know what material you use unless your 2 feet away.
I’m thinking about trolling down the bank on my lawn mower instead of buying a boat. Lawn mowers are much cheaper and break down a lot less. What do you guys think about that idea?

Dental floss is where it’s at! I like the minty flavor for my riggers… Smells real nice on your hands after handling balleyhoo all day.

Now, is that single strand, or do you braid it?

No hate here! Everyone has their own ways of doing things. Heck, most would/do laugh at my setup. But, what works for some may not work for others…

“Weedeater line is for weedeaters. Would you want to use mono in your weedeater?”
I have a cheap uncle that actually uses mono in his weedeater. I need to show him this thread!

Everybody is on their on for pulleys and they are EXPENSIVE at $4.99 each!! Way cheaper than weedeater line and that yellow color will really POP on the riggers!!
Oh Yea - another big savings - no crimps needed !! Just tie up a square not and trim the excess!!
