We went to the Gardens/Y-73 area today and there are many large patches of weeds out there. We managed to land a medium sized dolphin on a ballyhoo. Also got our limit of b-liners.
Temps around 75 degrees. Water is very pretty and clear.

4 peeps on board, left them biting.
We lost something on the surface using a ringtail under a balloon due to a defective hook…line slipped out of a gap in the eye. It had a wahoo-ish looking tail when he hit the bait. Just(**().

we saw all those weeds too! absolutely epic weedline in 60 feet on the way back in on Tuesday… crazy too see

Went out of Frip Inlet on Tuesday to look for live bottom. The conversion of loran to GPS did not lead us to anything but flat bottoms. The weed was down there too, from 25-35 miles out. Picked up a couple of small dolphin then came back in to a reef and caught a limit of nice BSB’s and one very nice flounder. Really nice seas that day.
