Was happy with the quantity and quality shrimp Saturday did some reconnaissance and a little fishing. We were maybe a handful shy of 48 quarts Sunday most medium to large and plan to get out at least 2 to 3 times this week.

Wicked…where were you…Harbor, Bulls Bays, Edisto??? Hope to go this weekend but haven’t made up my mind where yet. Not looking for a cooler full, just a good time and a few shrimp would be nice…

My Current Obsession
Hillbilly we were in Bulls Bay strictly a bay and daytime shrimper, you want see me in the parking lot of boats I get off by myself on a little hill I found and have at it. This past Saturday we did not set the world on fire but were done in about 2 hours with size being real mixed but getting better each day.

What do you do with all those shrimp…Freeze them? Give them away? Sell them? 48 qts is a good haul and if you do that well 2-3 more times this week, you’ll be drowning in shrimp.
Speaking of weekend harvest, I was going to go this coming weekend but it looks like another 15 to 20 knot wind out of the NE! I tried that on opening Saturday in BB and it sucked. I’m liking the cooler temps those NE winds are bringing, but it makes shrimping (especially at those spots close to the ocean) tough.
Bonecrusher I can recall 1 year we had 400 pds in the freezer. 6 people in the family and believe me they love them some seafood!!!
