Finally made it home from school for the weekend. Haven’t caught a sheephead in a few years so wanted to see if I could figure out how to do it again. After an hour, had 5 sheephead with one at 10.5 lbs and another at 11 lbs so I decided to quit and try to save some for a tournament sometime. Fished another couple hours and landed a few reds and trout.
Headed in early to get some sleep before doing some early morning gigging. Very slow start but eventually ended with 15 with the last 12 coming an hour before sunrise. Met my dad at the dock at sunrise and fished until noon with 3 trout and 22 reds, mostly in the slot but a few just over. All on shrimp.
