Tired of the 15 mph + winds and weather, but you have to do what you have to do when you’re a weekend warrior! Sat afternoon/evening was a goose egg but I tried a lot of new things in new locations and made the best of it! Sunday was a little better after the rain soaked us I finally got the skunk off the boat with some stubby TT’s, shrimp, and mullet…incoming tide on some new structure water in the low 70’s…here’s a few pics for the weekend!

Nice work! Got out a couple of weekends ago when weather was great but only boated one 15" trout fishing the high through falling tide. Only a few bites beyond the one caught. Didn’t move around a lot, just a few spots around Kiawah and Folly. Planning to get out this Saturday, possibly Friday as well, and hoping for a little more activity…but happy either way - catching is great but I don’t mind fishing either!

Nice trout! I too have been slowly clipping my trout tricks down a little. I have also gone to the loop knot on almost all my set ups. I feel like I have a little more success with them. Maybe its all mental. Great shot of the bridge too! Keep after them and posting!
Do ya’ll feel like you get more strikes on the TT’s by shortening them up?
Thanks y’all! I am a believer in the loop knot, adds a ton of action with minimal effort! As far as the stubby TT’s go, was just something I tried and it worked that day not sure if it gets more bites but on those short strikes (where they yank the TT down the hook shank) I feel like it helps some!

I started using a loop knot as well. I have to tried cuttin the TT down yet, probably going to try that next time though because I do miss a lot of fish that seem to miss the hook. I guess that’s why they call it fishin’ not catchin’.
