I have a 15hp four stroke Yammy. When I crank it the idle is sticking internally when I rev up the rpm’s. I can manually “unstick” it if I take the top off & move the little arm up or down on the powerhead. A friend recommended Sea Foam & it didn’t resolve the issue. I feel like it should be an easy fix but I’m not too mechanically inclined. Anybody ever have this happen? Motor is 06 & has worked great; never an issue til now. Hate to spend a couple hundred bucks for something that appears so simple. Any recs much appreciated.
WD-40 on the little arm and all other carb joints. Spray and work manually over and over.
10-4 Will give that a shot. Thx
Try hitting any shafts that go into the little arm with some break cleaner, then use the WD-40! The break cleaner will remove any varnish on the shafts.
WD 40 works on most everything!

just watch it on the paint. Brake cleaner will blister some paints and plastic. I like starting fluid better for cleaning oil/varnish residue.
Yep, if you use either of them, don’t even get a flame near it until it dries, which won’t take long!
Will try brake cleaner + WD40. Thx for the help
carb and choke cleaner were made just for this job- get a can
