Might be old, but for those who want to know more about Sellsfish seafood market, here ya go. Great place and man!
If you don’t buy anything else from Paul get some of the Smoked Salmon! He has some that tastes like Prosciutto! He gave me a taste Monday and I had to go back later and buy some! Went to the BILO got some nice crackers and cream cheese and ate 3/4 lb of it with some Sam Adams.
Yeah his salmon pastrami is tops.
I’ve run grocery store seafood markets before, and one of the companies I worked for took their seafood pretty seriously (they were based out of Maine), so I learned an enormous amount about the business working there. And I do know this, Sellsfish is the cleanest independent seafood market I’ve ever seen in my life (my own little market was the cleanest ever lol! not easy with a 20ft ice-only seafood case and minimum wage salaries). I’ve visited a lot of independent markets, and most of them smelled like old fish slime. Sellsfish smells like it should— fresh seafood. I think he’d do himself one better by cooking a bag of crab boil every day in a potpurri pot (or open mini-crockpot) as a form of incense. A cheap trick I learned from an old guy that was a distributor in Charlotte.
Sells has a killer variety that I could have never competed against.
Saying “I am offended” is telling everyone else that you cannot control your own emotions, and thus you need everyone else to do it for you.

He may actually have had a proscuitto flavored salmon. In fact the pastrami salmon really does have a proscuitto taste. It’s the only place around here to get it, and he gets the good stuff, I think it’s Ducktrap River brand. It’s not cheap, but it’s not supposed to be cheap lol.
Come to think of it, I haven’t gotten any for my wife to try. Maybe that’s on the gift list for her soon, I think she’d love it.

We saw this video run as an advertisement at the Carmike theaters on Ladson Rd. before the previews!! I just about stood up and yelled, “I KNOW HIM!!” in the middle of the theater. LOL!! We loved this. It was so natural and totally Paul.
