SAFMC will be celebrating another re-building and recovery.
I will say this…The state record for b liner will be broken soon. We caught all we wanted a few weeks back…we had multiple fish pushing 5 lbs. I’m taking a scale when we go out next time to our b liner spots.
What depth is best for b liners? Do they come shallower in fall and winter?
I don’t see why they’re reducing the acl on pinks. Those things are everywhere.
The state record for vermillion snapper is 6 lbs , 11 ounces good luck!!
Rumor has it that Longbearded1 caught what would have been the record, “back in the day”, but fed it to his family…a true football.
from 90’ to the ledge is holding plenty of big B-liners. We actually caught bigger ones in 90’ than in 155’
.

Did we extend state waters?
When that happens i will then be a little more excited,i havea spot 7 miles off the beach loaded with huge BSB…
No. There was a potential problem that SAFMC might claim we are taking more than our fair share of the the ACL if we extended the state waters. I did look into that issue thoroughly though. In theory, it’s a great idea. The real fix here is for SC and NC to break away and form our own fisheries council. We aren’t represented well when lumped in with Florida and Ga.
